The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the srt2smi.exe program and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an SRT file containing an overly long string. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.1.16.4635. Other versions may also be affected.
