The vulnerability is caused due to an error in ape_plugin.plg when parsing CUE files and can be exploited to corrupt memory by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted CUE file. Successful exploitation may potentially allow execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is confirmed in versions 3.1.53.0704n and 5.1.23.0402. Other versions may also be affected.
