Solaris XScreenSaver PopUp Window Information Disclosure

DESCRIPTION:
A weakness has been reported in Sun Solaris, which may disclose
potentially sensitive information to people with physical access to a
system.

The weakness is caused due to the Solaris XScreenSaver application
(xscreensaver) allowing pop-up windows to appear through the lock
screen.

SOLUTION:
A patch is available for Solaris 10.

-- SPARC Platform --

Solaris 10:
Apply patch 120094-22 or later.


-- x86 Platform --

Solaris 10:
Apply patch 120095-22 or later.


A final resolution is pending completion for GNOME 2.0 and 2.0.2 for
Solaris 8 and Solaris 9.
