Baofeng Storm ActiveX Control "OnBeforeVideoDownload()" Buffer
Overflow

DESCRIPTION:
MITBOY has discovered a vulnerability in Baofeng Storm, which can be
exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the
MPS.StormPlayer.1 ActiveX control (mps.dll). This can be exploited to
cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly large argument
passed to the "OnBeforeVideoDownload()" method.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in mps.dll version 3.9.4.27. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control.
