The vulnerability is caused due to the application not properly verifying jabber:iq:auth "passwd_change" requests, which can be exploited to change another user's password by sending a specially crafted request to the server. Successful exploitation requires a valid user account. The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 3.6.4.
