The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors when handling the "SetFilePath()" and "SetClientCookie()" methods and can be exploited to cause heap-based buffer overflows via an overly long string as argument. Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.11.918.2006. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control.
