Input passed via the username and the password to admin.php is not properly sanitised before being used in an SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code. Successful exploitation requires that usage of non-latin characters is configured in the system settings (disabled by default). The vulnerabilities are reported in version 2.0.5. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Apply patch or set "Use Non-Latin" to "0". http://www.eflo.net/vicidial/security_fix_admin_20090522.patch PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: Striker7 ORIGINAL ADVISORY: ViciDial: http://www.eflo.net/VICIDIALforum/viewtopic.php?t=8075 Striker7: http://milw0rm.com/exploits/8755 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- About: This Advisory was delivered by Secunia as a free service to help everybody keeping their systems up to date against the latest vulnerabilities.
