Epson Stylus SX100 Drivers Insecure Default Permissions

DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been reported in Epson Stylus SX100 Drivers,
which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated
privileges.

The problem is caused due to insecure default permissions ("Everyone"
group with "Full Control") being set on sub-folders and their child
objects installed in "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\EPSON\".
This can be exploited to overwrite arbitrary files in these folders,
including two services (E_S40ST7.EXE and E_S40RP7.EXE) in the "EPW!3
SSRP" folder.

SOLUTION:
Grant only trusted users access to affected systems.
