The vulnerability is caused due to a memory leak when handling certain AppleTalk-IP datagrams. This can be exploited to cause a DoS due to memory exhaustion by e.g. sending a large amount of specially crafted AppleTalk-IP datagrams. Successful exploitation requires that the appletalk and ipddp modules are loaded and attached to the same interface. SOLUTION: Fixed in the GIT repository.
