DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Sun Solaris, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to a memory leak in the Solaris IP
module and STREAMS Framework, which can be exploited to cause the
system to hang.

The vulnerability is reported in Solaris 9 and 10 for both the SPARC
and x86 platforms.

SOLUTION:
Apply patches.

Apply patch 122300-44 or later.

Solaris 10:
Apply patch 141414-09 or later.

OpenSolaris:
Fixed in build snv_109 or later.

-- x86 Platform --

Solaris 9:
Apply patch 122301-44 or later.

Apply patch 141415-09 or later.

OpenSolaris:
Fixed in build snv_109 or later.
