This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is viewed. 3) An error when handling certain URL parameters can be exploited to open arbitrary websites inside TYPO3 backend framesets. 4) An input sanitation error when handling uploaded files can be exploited by an editor to execute arbitrary shell commands. NOTE: This vulnerability requires that a third party extension is used for upload (e.g. DAM). 5) Certain unspecified input passed to the traditional frontend editing feature is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code. Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities requires a valid backend login. 6) Input passed to the "t3lib_div::quoteJSvalue()" API function is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. 7) Certain unspecified input passed to the Frontend Login Box (felogin) is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. This vulnerability was first fixed in version 4.2.7. NOTE: Two additional security bypass and cross-site scripting vulnerabilities have been fixed in the Install Tool, which is not recommended for use in production environments. SOLUTION: Update to the version 4.1.13 or 4.2.10. The vulnerabilities are also fixed in version 4.3beta2.
