The vulnerabilities are caused due to errors within the "Conn_GetCipherInfo()" and "Conn_UsesSSL()" functions in src/ngircd/conn.c, which can be exploited to crash the server. Successful exploitation requires that the server is not running in standalone mode and is compiled with SSL/TLS support. The vulnerabilities are reported in versions 13 through 14 prior to 14.1. SOLUTION: Update to version 14.1. PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: Reported by the vendor.
