The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "read_1_3_textobject()" function in f_readold.c when parsing ".fig" files. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow when a user opens a specially crafted .fig file. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.2.5b. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Do not open ".fig" files from untrusted sources.
