Microsoft Windows Internet Authentication Service Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Windows, which can be
exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the
processing of PEAP authentication requests (Protected Extensible
Authentication Protocol). This can be exploited to corrupt memory by
sending a specially crafted PEAP authentication request to an
Internet Authentication Service (IAS) server.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

NOTE: By default, no vectors exist to exploit this vulnerability on
Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 and Windows Server 2008 for Itanium-based
Systems SP2. However, third-party applications can potentially render
a system vulnerable.
