This can be exploited to conduct script insertion attacks by uploading malicious .txt files. 2) Input passed via the "starter" parameter to forum/index.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code. Successful exploitation requires moderator privileges. 3) Input passed via the "section" parameter to forum/index.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include PHP files from local resources via directory traversal attacks. The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 3.0.5. SOLUTION: Update to version 3.0.5 PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: 1) Xacker 2, 3) Dawid Golunski ORIGINAL ADVISORY: Invision Power Board: http://community.invisionpower.com/topic/300051-invision-power-board-305-released/ Xacker: http://archives.neohapsis.com/archives/bugtraq/current/0144.html Dawid Golunski: http://archives.neohapsis.com/archives/fulldisclosure/current/0105.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- About: This Advisory was delivered by Secunia as a free service to help everybody keeping their systems up to date against the latest vulnerabilities.
