DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Sun Java System Directory
Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS
(Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to a NULL pointer dereference error
in the processing of LDAP search request messages, which can be
exploited to cause the "ns-slapd" daemon to crash.

The vulnerability is reported in version 7.0. Other versions may also
be affected.

SOLUTION:
Filter network access to the affected service.
