---------------------------------------------------------------------- Use WSUS to deploy 3rd party patches Public BETA http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/corporate/wsus_3rd_third_party_patching/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TITLE: RepairShop2 "prod" Cross-Site Scripting and SQL Injection Vulnerabilities SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA39043 VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/39043/ DESCRIPTION: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in RepairShop2, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL Injection attacks. 1) Input passed via the "prod" parameter to index.php (when "b" is set to "products.details") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. 2) Input passed via the "prod" parameter to index.php (when "b" is set to "products.details") is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code. Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quote_gpc" is disabled. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.9.023 Trial. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Filter malicious characters and character sequences in a proxy.
