The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of SCCP packets (Skinny Client Control Protocol) and can be exploited to cause an affected Cisco IOS router to reload by sending a series of specially crafted SCCP packets. Successful exploitation requires that the IOS router is using the NAT SCCP Fragmentation Support feature. SOLUTION: Update to the fixed version (please see the vendor's advisories for details).
