This fixes multiple vulnerabilities, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service). 1) An assertion error within the "spnego_gss_accept_sec_context()" function in src/lib/gssapi/spnego/spnego_mech.c can be exploited to e.g. crash an application using the library by sending a specially crafted packet. For more information: SA39010 2) An error in the gssftpd application can be exploited to e.g. crash the application by authenticating with a non-existent user account. Successful exploitation requires "ftpd" process to be started without the "-a" option in "/etc/xinted.d/gssftp". SOLUTION: Apply updated packages via the yum utility ("yum update krb5").
