The vulnerability is caused due to a NULL pointer dereference error in WebUI when processing an invalid basic authorization string that does not contain a user-id and password as expected. Successful exploitation allows crashing the application, but requires that the Web UI interface is enabled (disabled by default). The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.0 build 18907. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Restrict access to the WebUI.
