Zip Unzip Archive Processing Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
mr_me has discovered a vulnerability in Zip Unzip, which can be
exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing
of archives containing an entry with an overly long path. This can be
exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by tricking a user
into e.g. unpacking a specially crafted ZIP file.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 6.0. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Do not open untrusted archives.
