---------------------------------------------------------------------- Secunia CSI + Microsoft SCCM ----------------------- = Extensive Patch Management http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/corporate/wsus_sccm_3rd_third_party_patching/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TITLE: McAfee Email Gateway Multiple Vulnerabilities SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA39307 VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/39307/ DESCRIPTION: Nahuel Grisolía has reported some vulnerabilities in McAfee Email Gateway, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service), disclose sensitive information, or gain escalated privileges, and by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks. 1) An error when processing CLI (Command Line Interface) commands can be exploited to exhaust available system resources. 2) Input passed to the "queueMsgType" and "QtnType" parameters in admin/queuedMessage.do is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. 3) Access to files containing sensitive information is not properly restricted. This can be exploited to e.g. disclose user names or database credentials by issuing CLI commands. 4) An error when handling environment variables can be exploited to gain administrative privileges through the CLI. The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 6.7.2 Hotfix 2. SOLUTION: Update to version 6.7.2 Hotfix 2.
