---------------------------------------------------------------------- Secunia CSI + Microsoft SCCM ----------------------- = Extensive Patch Management http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/corporate/wsus_sccm_3rd_third_party_patching/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TITLE: SafeSHOP Cross-Site Scripting and Cross-Site Request Forgery SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA39330 VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/39330/ DESCRIPTION: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in SafeSHOP, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and cross-site request forgery attacks. 1) Input passed to the "errMsg" parameter in /admin/system-alert.asp is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. 2) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the request. This can be exploited to e.g. send administrative e-mails or execute SQL queries by tricking an administrator into visiting a malicious website. The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.5.6. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Do not browse untrusted websites or follow untrusted links while logged-in to the administrative interface. Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
