This can be exploited to disclose the contents of arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks. 2) Input passed to the "script" parameter in cgi-bin/exec.cgi is not properly sanitised before being used as a command line argument. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary shell commands. Successful exploitation requires "Write" or "Admin" User Level permissions. 3) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the requests. This can be exploited to e.g. create an arbitrary user with administrative privileges if a logged-in administrative user visits a malicious web site. SOLUTION: Restrict access to the device to trusted hosts only (e.g. via network access control lists).
