This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed. 2) An error exists in the processing of regular expressions while viewing certain articles. This can be exploited to cause a DoS due to high CPU consumption via specially crafted emails sent to the affected system. The vulnerabilities are reported in versions 2.3.x through 2.4.7. SOLUTION: Update to version 2.3.6 or 2.4.8. PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: The vendor credits Marcus Krause of the TYPO3 Security Team, Aaron Roberts, Alexander Neufeld, and Arnfinn Roland.
