The vulnerability is caused due to the automatic update functionality not properly checking the validity of the SSL certificate for the update server. This can be exploited to spoof an update server (e.g. via DNS poisoning or a Man-in-the-Middle attack) and store arbitrary files in the AutoStart folder via a specially crafted update package. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.0.1. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Do not use the update functionality.
