The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the WebAccess Network Service (webvrpcs.exe) when processing certain RPC calls. This can be exploited to manipulate certain function pointers and execute arbitrary code by sending specially crafted RPC requests to TCP port 4592. The vulnerability is confirmed in version 7.0-2010.05.06. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Restrict access to trusted hosts only (e.g. via network access control lists).
