Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows execution of arbitrary code, but requires a user to click on a malicious link. 2) The application bundles a vulnerable version of the Pthreads-win32 library, which loads libraries (e.g. quserex.dll) in an insecure manner and can be exploited to load arbitrary libraries by tricking a user into e.g. opening a FC (".fc") file located on a remote WebDAV or SMB share. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 11.005. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Do not open links and files from untrusted users.
