The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the "powerbtn.sh" script when identifying a process ID of the KDE session daemon. This can be exploited to inject commands via the DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS environment variable. The vulnerability is reported in version 2.0.12. Other versions may also be affected. SOLUTION: Restrict access to trusted users only or disable power button event handling.
