The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) messages, which can be exploited to reload a device by sending a specially crafted PIM message. Successful exploitation requires multicast routing to be enabled (disabled by default). The vulnerability is reported in versions 3.1, 3.2, 4.0, and 4.1.
