-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 ===================================================================== Red Hat Security Advisory Synopsis: Moderate: python-keystoneclient security and bug fix update Advisory ID: RHSA-2013:0944-01 Product: Red Hat OpenStack Advisory URL: https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2013-0944.html Issue date: 2013-06-12 CVE Names: CVE-2013-2104 ===================================================================== 1. Summary: Updated python-keystoneclient packages that fix one security issue and multiple bugs are now available for Red Hat OpenStack 3.0 (Grizzly) Preview. The Red Hat Security Response Team has rated this update as having moderate security impact. A Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) base score, which gives a detailed severity rating, is available from the CVE link in the References section. 2. Relevant releases/architectures: OpenStack 3 - noarch 3. Description: Python-keystoneclient is the client library and command line utility for interacting with the OpenStack identity API. A flaw in Keystone allowed an attacker with access to the web and network interfaces of services utilizing python-keystoneclient (such as Nova, Cinder, Swift, Glance, and so on) to continue using PKI tokens that had expired. This would allow the attacker to continue using the PKI tokens despite the PKI tokens being expired, giving them continued access to OpenStack services. (CVE-2013-2104) This issue was discovered by Eoghan Glynn of Red Hat. This update also fixes a number of bugs in python-keystoneclient. All users of Red Hat OpenStack 3.0 (Grizzly) Preview are advised to install these updated packages. 4. Solution: Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata relevant to your system have been applied. This update is available via the Red Hat Network. Details on how to use the Red Hat Network to apply this update are available at https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/articles/11258 5. Bugs fixed (http://bugzilla.redhat.com/): 904351 - Provide keystone man page for the command line interface. 928558 - add support for Swift cache in authtoken m/w 965852 - CVE-2013-2104 OpenStack Keystone: Missing expiration check in Keystone PKI token validation 6.
