This document is the Hummer Application Programming Interface.  It is meant to ease the stress in coming to grips with the Hummer project.   We hope that by documenting the steps we have taken, you the developer will be able to quickly and easily use and augment our code and create a better project.

The Hummer project is an ambitious approach to computer security.   By implementing Hummer in Java we hope to create a platform independent architecture for the sharing of security relevent information.  This is an active research area at the University of Idaho.   We recommend that anyone who wishes to become a member of the Hummer project to mail hummer@lal.uidaho.edu and join the team.

Since Hummer is being developed under the GNU GPL, you may take any and all code in this project providing due credit is given.

You are welcome to take a trip through our javadoc generated web-pages.  Please keep in mind that this is an ongoing project and these documents are being generated as we go.
